3-day Rwanda Gorilla trekking Safari

Upon your arrival at Kigali Airport, our company representative/ guide will be there to welcome you and provide a briefing about the safari program. Following this, you will embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, known as the "Home of Mountain Gorillas." You will arrive in time to check in as lunch is being prepared. You will then take a short rest as we wait for our first exciting adventure in the heart of Volcanoes National Park. Visiting Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village (officially known as the Gorilla Guardians Village), which is a highly recommended community-based tourism experience located near Volcanoes National Park in Kinigi, Rwanda. You will explore a replica of an ancient Rwandan King’s palace, where village elders can temporarily crown you the King or Queen of the day and watch or participate in vibrant cultural dances, including the famous Intore (warrior's dance), to the beat of local drums.

Today is dedicated to one of the most unforgettable experiences in Rwanda: gorilla trekking! After an early breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters for a briefing on the day's trek and the important conservation efforts in place to protect these incredible creatures. Accompanied by experienced trackers and guides, you will venture into the heart of the rainforest, navigating through different terrains as you seek out one of the mountain gorilla families. Once you locate the gorillas, you will spend an hour observing them as they go about their daily activities, providing a rare glimpse into their world. The experience is truly awe-inspiring, highlighting the beauty and importance of wildlife conservation. Once the trek is complete, you will return to your accommodation to reflect on the day's adventure and enjoy a well-deserved meal.

After your breakfast, prepare for your journey back to Kigali. Enjoy the scenic drive as you reflect on your wilderness trekking experiences. Upon arrival in the capital city, you will embark on a guided city tour to explore Kigali's rich culture and history. Visit notable sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you can pay your respects and learn about Rwanda's poignant past. You'll also have the chance to explore local markets and art galleries, and perhaps sample some delicious Rwandan cuisine at a local restaurant.
