This safari will take you through some of East Africa's most iconic safari destinations that host distinctive wildlife that is hardly found elsewhere on earth. The safari starts in Nairobi from where we drive south of the country. We will stop at the Great Rift Valley and continue on to Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru National Park. The itinerary also includes game drives in the Maasai Mara before crossing into Tanzania to explore Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park Via Lake Naivasha.

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park Via Lake Naivasha.
On the first day of your safari, you'll be greeted by our friendly guide at the airport or your hotel in Nairobi. They will brief you about the safari before you head to Lake Nakuru National Park, enjoying a picturesque 3-4 hour drive with views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Next, you'll visit Lake Naivasha, where a relaxing boat ride offers stunning views and the chance to spot wildlife like hippos and various birds. The boat trip extends to the Crescent Island Sanctuary, where you disembark and walk on foot with a ranger guide exploring the local flora and fauna of the Island. So many wild animals are on this Island and you will be encountering one by one during the nature walk. Later, you'll drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its migrating flamingoes and over 350 bird species. After enjoying your late lunch, you can decide to go for the first game drive in the park, during which you will be introduced to a variety of wildlife species.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru morning game drive and transfer to Maasai Mara National Park

Day 2: Lake Nakuru morning game drive and transfer to Maasai Mara National Park
After an early morning breakfast, we'll check out with our luggage and embark on an exciting morning game drive through the park's popular spots. Early morning is your best chance to spot active grazers and hunting predators before they seek shade from the midday heat. The park also features a designated rhino sanctuary boasting over 100 white and 50 black rhinos, often seen grazing in the open clearings. Over 500 bird species live here, including the famous massive flocks of pink flamingos and pelicans that gather on the alkaline lake shores, so all can be spotted during this game drive. After the game drive at around 11:00 AM, we leave Lake Nakuru National Park and drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a lunch break en route, and after that, we proceed to the hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Full-day game drives in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Day 3: Full-day game drives in Maasai Mara National Reserve
Today, you will leave camp just after an early breakfast, armed with a packed picnic lunch from the lodge. The crisp, early morning hours are the prime time to watch lions, leopards, and cheetahs hunting or on the move. Aside from predators, you will cover a vast amount of ground to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, and hundreds of bird species. During your full-day drive, head deep into the reserve toward the Mara River to watch wallowing hippos and massive basking crocodiles. If you are visiting between July and October, you will get the chance to witness the dramatic wildebeest migration and thrilling river crossings. Later, in the evening, you will return to the Maasai community for the cultural experience, where you will get a chance to immerse yourself in the Maasai culture and learn about their way of life. Afterward, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park
You will start your day with a delicious breakfast before receiving packed lunch boxes for your journey to the Isebania border post. There, a Tanzanian liaison will assist with your transfer to the Serengeti. Remember to have a valid visa, as obtaining one upon arrival can be lengthy. After completing immigration at the Kenya/Tanzania border, we’ll embark on a drive to the Serengeti National Park. The journey is full of adventures with wildlife viewing from all sides of your vehicle. Millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes spread across the endless plains. As the day ends, you'll check in at the Camp to relax after an enriching day.

Day 5: Full-day Serengeti National Park

Day 5: Full-day Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park is a designated World Heritage Site filled with Wildlife. The Park is home to over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and around 500 bird species. We are completely flexible and will organize the day according to your preferences. Your guide will discuss the best timings for activities such as game drives and wake-up times. For example, on this day, you could start with a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation, and then go for another afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you leave your camp at sunrise to catch predators returning from night hunts and grazers starting their day. Rather than returning to your lodging, you break for a packed lunch under the shade of an acacia tree or at an official picnic spot. Afternoon Tracking (1:30 PM - 5:00 PM): You will continue exploring the diverse landscapes—looking for big cats on the kopjes (rocky outcrops) or searching for river crossings if you are visiting during the Great Migration. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the previous camp.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro game reserve

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro game reserve
After an early breakfast, we check out and drive towards Ngorongoro Crater. The drive from the central Serengeti to the crater ranges between 150 km and 200 km, depending on your exact starting point. Expect the journey to take about 4 to 6 hours. Then you'll enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area through the Naabi Hill Gate. From here, the route takes you through the sweeping, semi-arid plains of the Southern Serengeti and up into the cooler, forested highlands. You will transition from vast, acacia-dotted grasslands to high-altitude montane forests. We will also stop at the famous Olduvai Gorge (a key archaeological site for human evolution) along the way. Lunch will be enjoyed at a convenient picnic spot, and continue with the game drive in the Crater till evening. We will continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Arusha Airport

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Arusha Airport
After enjoying an early morning breakfast, we will check out with our packed lunch and start the drive descending into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view the game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. Here you can expect to find the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, among other wildlife. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and is surrounded by steep walls rising 610 meters from the floor. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. After at least five hours of incredible wildlife viewing, we will enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool within the crater. Following lunch, we will ascend the crater and embark on a scenic journey to Arusha for your departure.
