3-Day Nyungwe National Park Safari Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk Adventure

After breakfast, meet our guide and depart Kigali for Nyungwe National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda's famous rolling hills, passing vibrant villages, lush tea plantations, and beautiful countryside landscapes. En route, make a stop at the historic Nyanza King's Palace or the Ethnographic Museum for a cultural insight into Rwanda's rich heritage. Arrive at Nyungwe National Park in the afternoon and check into your lodge. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of the rainforest.

Rise early and head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, venture into the dense forest in search of one of Nyungwe's habituated chimpanzee communities. Once located, spend time observing these fascinating primates as they feed, play, and interact in their natural environment. Along the way, you may also encounter other primate species, including colobus monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, and vervet monkeys. After lunch, enjoy the famous Nyungwe Canopy Walk, a thrilling experience that takes you across a suspended bridge approximately 70 meters above the forest floor. The walkway offers spectacular views of the rainforest canopy, surrounding mountains, and abundant birdlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided nature walk through the forest, exploring Nyungwe's diverse flora and fauna. Learn about medicinal plants, unique forest ecosystems, and the park's remarkable biodiversity while enjoying the sights and sounds of one of Africa's oldest rainforests. After the walk, check out and begin your scenic journey back to Kigali. Enjoy lunch en route and arrive in Kigali in the late afternoon. Depending on your departure schedule, you will be transferred to your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your memorable Rwanda safari.
