your journey to Kibale National Park. Be prepared to capture Uganda's beautiful and green
countryside in photos along the way.
You will have lunch in the town of Fort Portal, where you can enjoy the stunning scenery.
Despite being a small town, Fort Portal is situated in an area with a perfect climate, resulting
in beautiful surroundings. After lunch, you will proceed to Kibale Forest and check in at your
booked hotel. After some rest, you'll head out for Kibale Crater Lakes exploration, which will

briefing on the rules and requirements for tracking chimpanzees. Following the briefing, an
experienced ranger guide will lead you into the forest to find the primates. Chimpanzee
trekking in Kibale typically takes between 2-5 hours depen. The trek is a bit challenging at
times because the terrain is rugged and the vegetation is thick. However the thrill of
encountering these incredible chimps in the wild makes the efforts well worth it. On a lucky
day, you may even witness these chimps displaying their acrobatic skills as they swing
through the trees.
After the trek, you will return to your hotel for lunch and some rest. Later in the evening, you
will have the opportunity to go for a walk around the Bigodi Swamp to spot other primates
such as Black and white colobus monkeys Grey-cheeked Mangabey and Blue monkeys as
well as several bird species.
your first game drive in the Ishasha sector. This area is renowned for its tree-climbing lions,
along with other impressive mammals, primates, and antelopes. The lions here prefer
lodging in tree branches because it helps them escape insect bites and gives them a clear
view of their territory.
Tree-climbing has evolved in two lion populations in the world: those in the Ishasha sector
and another one in Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania. However, the best place to see
them is in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. After this first game drive,
you will head back to the lodge to rest.
You will start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for a game drive in the
Kasenyi plains. Your guide will lead you as you observe the wildlife returning to their dens
after a night of hunting. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, hyenas, buffalos, elephants,
warthogs, and various antelope species.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a
boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a popular meeting place for park animals, especially
during the dry season. You can look forward to spotting diverse bird species such as Pink-
backed pelicans, cormorants, Saddle-billed storks, and African skimmers along with
crocodiles, hippos, and other animals spotted during the morning game drive, as they come
for a drink. Following the boat cruise, you can either rest or take a leisurely walk around the
lodge.
Maramagambo Forest. This forest is known for its amazing cave bats. While in the dense
forest, keep an eye out for birds, forest hogs, dwarf antelope, and several other primate and
monkey species. The bats attract pythons to their caves. If you are lucky, you may witness a
battle between predator and prey.
After exploring the forest, you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Lunch
will be eaten along the way, allowing you to enjoy the scenic journey to your next destination.
You're expected to check in at the hotel in the evening and rest.
